Jessica is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters degree in Counselling. Jessica has experience working with people of all ages struggling with substance use, trauma and relational issues. Part of her approach used in counselling includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sensorimotor psychotherapy for trauma and development, Attachment Framework, Narrative therapy and Motivational Interviewing in order to create individualized planning to meet your unique needs.
As a counsellor she strives to create creates a safe, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, where she supports individuals to recognize their strengths and wisdom while they move towards the life they want to have for themselves.
Jessica’s work experience is extensive in a therapeutic capacity for 10 years specifically with individuals struggling with the effects of substance use, trauma and relational challenges. Jessica has experience working in the mental health sector for a non-profit organization, providing supervision, individual therapy and group counselling for youth struggling with the impacts of substance use. She brings this experience to individual and family counselling session to help people develop a therapeutic plan and move towards the life they envision for themselves and their loved ones.
